Sales Account Representative - Job Advertisement

Ennovate is an Energy Service Company (ESCO) headquartered in Aurora, Colorado that offers energy efficiency, design consulting and commissioning services to institutional facility owners such as schools, colleges, and hospitals. Project skills offered to these clients include energy efficiency consulting, HVAC consulting, Energy Savings Performance Contracting and commissioning services advising clients on optimum facility comfort and energy efficiency. In the current climate of environmental awareness, energy efficiency and conservation are in extremely high demand by all building owners. Ennovate is well positioned to offer a great value to clients who want to reduce their building operating costs, improve occupancy comfort and conserve valuable resources. This sales position can be a lucrative opportunity for the right candidate.

We are currently staffing a position to market and sell our services to clients in the Rocky Mountain region. We looking for sales representatives in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah and Oklahoma. Our projects include energy savings performance contracting, HVAC Upgrades, commissioning services, fee-for-service engineering and new technology applications for schools, hospitals, government buildings and various other commercial facilities. The Sales Account Representative will work with energy engineers and project managers within Ennovate to identify and evaluate energy cost savings opportunities, determine customers’ technical requirements, and assist with project financing.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

[+] Work with Ennovate management to develop marketing and sales strategies

[+] Visit clients to introduce prospective buyers to Ennovate’s service offerings.

[+] Qualify and track prospective clients.

[+] Attend trade shows with booth to discuss Ennovate’s service to trade show attendees.

[+] Write contracts and agreements with clients for successful sales.

[+] Study laws and various other factors involved with energy industry sales

[+] Develop responses to RFP solicitations

[+] Develop financing documents for clients

[+] Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

ENTRY LEVEL; BS, BA or related degree with some experience in sales to institutional clients. This level of candidate should have basic sales skills and training to be able to be confident in implementing a sales call with prospective clients.

MID LEVEL: BSME, BA or related degree plus minimum of 2-5 years’ sales in institutional or performance contracting field. Experience with facility systems and the benefits that a company like Ennovate can provide will be required at this level. Ability to call on high level contacts within institutional clients is preferred. Understanding in a performance contracting implementation and sales process or any solution-based offering is preferred.

SENIOR LEVEL: BSME, BA or related degree plus minimum of 5-15 years’ experience in directly related performance contracting, energy efficiency projects and facility solutions industry required. Knowledge of federal, state and other grant and rebate programs associated with energy efficiency projects is required. Understanding of guaranteed energy savings contracts and state legislation is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

[+]  Exposure to facility operations and mechanical installation projects involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit and distributed generation projects.

[+] Experience with public clients, counties, schools, and municipalities.

[+] Excellent written and computer communication skills required.

[+] Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.

[+] U.S. Citizenship Required.

[+] Typing ability of 35 words / minute or greater.

[+] Ability to travel required. (20% to 50% Travel)
