Higher education is referring to primarily college campus project experience.  Many colleges have facilities dating back to the early 1900's and have then grown by leaps and bounds adding dormitories, modern science buildings, libraries, sports facilities and many other facilities.   Many campuses started with a central boiler plant and/or chiller plant and are struggling with energy management planning for their explosive growth.  It is impossible to generalize about all college campuses, but the opportunities to reduce energy and utilize renewable energy systems abound.
