Step 2 - Preliminary Evaluation

This step is sometimes called the preliminary engineering, draft technical energy audit (TEA) or feasibility study.  In this step our energy engineers evaluate our client's facilities for energy savings opportunities, evaluate utility bills for energy benchmarks and evaluate any other relevant facility issues. At the end of this process, we develop a list of findings, recommendations, along with costs and savings for each individual recommendation.  We then bring this list to our client and discuss the features of recommendation along with the associated benefits that they will experience if these solutions were to be implemented.

Commitment Objective

If the client believes there is a viable project, the client selects the specific measures that they would like to have Ennovate perform final engineering and pricing.

Financial Obligation

At this stage of the process the client agrees to pay Ennovate for its engineering services for the final engineering stage if for some reason the project is not implemented.  This engineering cost is dependent on the actual effort required to produce a final energy savings contract.  Ennovate has agreed to a fixed cost per square foot of facility space for Colorado public entities.
