Step 8 - Monitoring & Reconciliation

After the project is completed, it is critical to monitor energy usage afterwards to verify that energy savings are being met.  This step is optional in a normal construction project, but it is mandatory for a guaranteed energy savings project so that Ennovate can report on actual savings being achieved.

If this is a guaranteed energy savings performance contract, Ennovate must also reconcile the guaranteed savings with the actual savings.  If the actual savings is less than the guaranteed savings, Ennovate must pay the client the difference in these two amounts.

Ennovate monitors energy savings through its Energy Information Network.  This is an automated online system that reports on predicted savings vs actual savings on a daily basis with live metered utilities.

Commitment Objective

A monthly savings report is automatically e-mailed to our client and an annual reconciliation report is presented to our client for their approval.

Financial Obligation

Ennovate submits a monthly invoice for monitoring services.  This amount is paid on a monthly basis by our client. If our client chooses to cancel monitoring service, payment obligations cease and the energy guarantee is null and void.
